set original of header text

Hi again Martin,
I have changed some headers' text and then when i want to change back to its original text by
right click on header's label, choose rename on popup menu, click Set Original button, click OK button, click Save Settings and Close button, then bring backs Sensor Windows seems not change the header's text.
a bug maybe ? i guess this is not happening with previous Win8.1

hwmoninitlog.txt on desktop

Recently, on system startup, HWiNFO has been placing file hwmoninitlog.txt in the desktop folder. It doesn't appear to do that if I close and restart HWiNFO, just on system start.
I thought Debug Write Direct may have been the reason, but either state has no effect on this.
HWiNFO version 5.07-2670 & Win10/64.

hi, first of all great app Big Grin 

i'm trying to find which vcore best reflect the actual value. from my hwinfo32, there is VID, Vcore1,2,3 and VCOREREFIN, what is VCOREREFIN?

also unrelated question, is it possible to import my sensor settings (i see its in the registry) from 32bit to 64bit? if there's any advantage of running 64bit version.

I do own a AX860i and a H110i my H110i is showing correctly and monitors fine.

But my AX860i not, I read that you (author) couldn't figure out the Protocol for the USB Dongle yet right? Are you any closer? Or do you need help? 

In either case, please report back!

Yellow triangle icon in "Drives"

Hello, I want to know what is that yellow icons in one of my drives is it that my mobo is compatible with Sata 3.0GB/s and the drive is 1.5GB/s?
And I have one more question if my mobo is Sata 3.0GB/s will it run a Sata 6.0GB/s hard drive? Because I got a really good deal on 1TB Sata 6.0GB/s hard drive.  I heard that it will run but like 3.0GB/s is that right?

Sensor failure

Hello,

I have an problem with the last version of HWInfo64. My Mainboard Asus Gryphon Z97 its going up to 125°c in the Windows who stand temp2 and temp5 and the sensor is not responding for 10-15 sec and than show it other temps 80 andmore when i play Games shows me the sensor all the time and he is very hard on dancing 15°c to 98°c. I think thats an bug and i hope you can fix it ^^

I can uplaod the HWiNFO64.DBG

Blank names, disappearing sensors & interferring

So I have a couple question and possible bug's maybe known ones:

As a first note and information, I own a ASUS Maximus VIII Hero Z710 and a i7 6700k Skylake.
I do run AI Suite 3 and Corsair Link together with HWInfo 64 Bit Beta 2670

#1 In this image:

The 2 Bottom values sometimes work show a Name & correct value and sometimes don't,
there are also cases where the entire "EC" category goes weird and only shows 1 Sensor, e.g only the CPU PLL or any other.
Do you have an idea why, how I could fix this and whether its a bug?

Do you know what Temp2-5 is? and whether I should pay attention to those? I am in fact curious what they represent so that I could rename them accordingly.

Sometimes, atleast it seems that way, that HWInfo, Corsair Link and AI Suite 3 are interferring, either all together or HWInfo with Corsair Link, is that known and un-avoid-able? I assumed that's how HWInfo's Corsair Link implementation works, e.g it kind of takes the data from H110i and thus makes Corsair Link unable to access it at the same time. Any info on that?

Fan issue

I have a Alienware 17r2
i only see fan speed when i click on the icon at the bottom and set it on custom auto.
When i set it on custom it work fine but when i set it back to system auto it drops to 0 and stop working, and i have to reset my computer everytime.
any idea how could i fix this problem?

CPU #0

I've just installed HWiNFO064 and i don't understand the CPU #0 core clock green green bar graphs.

The little table lists the four core "clocks" but periodically it flashes from all green bars to all red bars. 
It seems to coincide with small fluctuations from 3414 to 3442 MHz.

I've been having 'crashes or lock ups' on BF4 sometimes they are severe enough to cause an internet disconnect .. Teamspeak or Ventrillo will drop out.
I'm thinking it could also be a problem with my ISP/connection or even video.

AMD PhenomII X4 965 black
ATI/AMD Radeon HD 5850
8 meg GSkill F3 12800

What's this telling me?

TCP Connection left hanging

On the scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being worst, this bug is a -1 or so.  I presume that when HWInfo opens a connection to check for updates, it never properly closes it.  Thus a "netstat -bo" (to use an easily repeatable method) always gives me:

Not a big deal to "most" users, but I have reason to be wary of connections to my boxes/networks so I look for them "frequently" - and HWInfo has left one hanging for the last 10 or 20 (or more...I don't remember, frankly - caused in part by using latest beta when available) versions I've used.

Other than this, love the program!

Japanese as custom sensor name does not seem to work (nor does Russian) , issue on my end or not supported? And if it's not on my end, will you ever add this feature?

Altho I wonder if its limited by the system itself and how its naming sensors.

OSD RTSS setting store location

hi,
I've tried searching online and on the forum but have not found this info.
I'm on windows 10, and I want to know where the software stores the settings for the OSD (RTSS) tab.
these are the settings that decide which info and in what order it is show in Riva Tuner Statistics Server when playing a game.

if I have to reinstall the operating system I don't what to have to set all that up again.

Questions about CPU core & input voltages

Hi,

First of all, thank you for this exquisite monitoring application. I've customized all information that I need in a single screen.

I've got asus sabertooth x99 and 5820K OCed to 3.8GHz. HWiNFO64 is v5.06-2640.

1) My stable core voltage is 1.076V. I get different results when I set CPU core voltage to different modes in BIOS. In manual mode, VIDs for all 6 cores in HWiNFO64 are almost the same (1.072V-1.077V), but in offset mode, VIDs for cores #0,#2,#4 are ~1.076V and for cores #1,#3,#5 are ~1.099V. Also, vcore shows 0.128V! Other monitoring applications like CPU-Z and HWmonitor report 1.076V which is the VID value for core #0 in HWiNFO64. Are these readings normal? Or my motherboard has some problems?

2) The other odd thing is that setting the CPU input voltage manually, halves the CPU Package Power (from 150W to 75W under full load and from 18W to 9W when idling), but other things like temperatures, Total DRAM Power, etc are the same.

I would be so much appreciated if you clarify these issues. Thanks in advance.

Hallo,

ich möchte für ein USB LCD Display (Vier Zeilen á 20 Zeichen)  eine Anwendung schreiben (wenn möglich in Profan) welches mir Informationen von HWInfo auf das Display anzeigt.

Dabei bin ich über Shared Memory Support gestoppelt. 

Aber was ist das genau? Welche Voraussetzungen müssen erfüllt sein? Wie verwendet man das?

Wenn Möglich die Antworten bitte in Deutsch.

Query re loading HW Info

I don't know if I have mentioned it before but just lately I have noticed that when I open HW Info and then minimise it for any reason the program shuts down completely. 
Is there a way to keep it running because once that happens I usually have to reboot my machines to get HW to open again - pretty frustrating.
