Corsair HXi

First of all big thanks to the HWiNFO developers for finally bringing support for Corsair HXi and RMi series PSUs, I just installed v5.10 on my machine and it reads the PSU (HX850i) values without issues, helping me get one step closer to removing Corsair Link from my machine.

I had a question regarding the reported wattage; for me in particular, the wattage and efficiency readings are much more interesting than the rest of the numbers (watching the power bill, you know) and I was wondering, is the total PSU power reported in HWiNFO, the input PSU power (from the socket), or the output power (to the parts)? Corsair Link reports both of these values separately and also reports efficiency. It would be great if this number could be clarified and assuming that there are no technical difficulties, both wattage values are reported by HWiNFO along side with efficiency.

Again thanks for this great piece of software and keep up the good job.

Corsair RMi Total Power reading drops to 0 if voltages/currents are hidden

Alternatively, you can hide voltage or current readings from one of the rails and the power reading will drop to only account for whatever's left (i.e. if I hide the 3V and 12V rails so only the 5V rail is showing at 4A 5V, the total PSU power will read only 20W).

I'm guessing since unchecking the "show" button in the layout options for voltage/current also unchecks "monitoring", the power reading is depending on the data coming in from those other sensors Tongue Unfortunately this means (as far as I can tell) there is no way to hide voltage or current from the Sensors window if you are not interested in those, only in the total power. Also, any way to add an efficiency figure? Corsair Link software monitors both input and output power so in theory it should be possible to pull both of those, and calculate efficiency from that.

I am of use HWinfo64 for the insertion OSD in Benchmarks and Games, after I have provided the values OSD, I get new thing always this comma sign before the values OSD, this was not earlier in such a way. How can one remove this comma sign?

I would like to consult on possible causes of the phenomenon

For quite a long time (probably since the beginning of the year) was observed strange phenomena in my opinion - periodically obyno network activity after the OS or applications increases dramatically the use of CPU core and this effect is accompanied by a similar to HWiNFO32 / HWiNFO64, but only on the same machine. At first I thought that it is caused by the consequences of errors of drivers NIC, but after replacing the HDD you install the OS from the installation DVD phenomenon is preserved while it is accompanied by a second phenomenon - after their restart HWiNFO32 / HWiNFO64 stops reading SPD and the information displayed on the screen System Summary in RAM block, we see an empty space such as the machine is not installed memory modules, and this phenomenon can (on this machine is not always) accompanied by a failure X-s leading to their restart. I personally assume that there is any conflict of RAM modules, or simply banal refusal chipset, although such an instrument malfunction, and is not, and even at a time oscilloscope and waveform analyzer show that the equipment operates with no visible errors and tolerances specifications nodes.

Please, see attachment screen shot (left to right) for illustration on this phenomenon: screen 1 - Process Hacker display CPU time using in %% and history on latest 60 sec, screen 2 - HWiNFO64 before restart this phenomenon is exists, screen 3 -  HWiNFO64 after restart this phenomenon is exists.

Hardware config is:

P.S.

The phenomenon is clearly not so common that we can make a similar hypothesis about its nature and, therefore, of interest to me. But since I can not afford to respond to what we have to do is put this topic off-topic to when we define the character of its nature to take the right decision where to move? I will try to replace the allegedly incompatible equipment, but the question is will selecting his replacement or the market has no analogues thereof (at least within "drive, choose and buy")?

SMART Info: Drive Temp Reading

Hi there

Great product. First time poster.

HWInfo64 reports my drive temperature (HGST_HDN724040ALE640) as 35 degrees celsius.

The actual smart info value is "171"

How does 171 be interpreted as 35?

I'm tried looking through HEX to Decimal conversions but couldn't figure it out.

Thanks
Don

HWiNFO disables some of my harddrives

Hello,

I found a rather unusual problem with HWiNFO64.

I have four harddrives and one SSD in my system

Seagate ST3000VX0000-1CU1 (3 TB)
Hitachi HDS722020ALA330 (2 TB)
Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500 GB
WD WD4003FZEX (WD Black 4 TB)
WD WD40EFRX (WD Red 4 TB)

and during startup HWiNFO disables two of them. The Seagate and the Hitachi disappears from system after HWiNFO has started. They are nowhere to be found and are only back after a full reset via the reset button. The two missing drives are rather old (~5 years), I was planning to replace them next year. The other three drives are new, purchased them in the last six months. All drives are connected to the onboard SATA-slots. They are all controlled by the Z97 chipset and not by an additional SATA-controller. Two of the SATA-ports are shared with a m2-slot on the mainboard, but I have no m2-SSD connected.

I tested different versions of HWinfo (4.65, 5.02, 5.10) and it happens with all of them. With the 5.x versions the drives disappear right during start of HWiNFO. with the 4.65 version the drives disappear after I push the sensors-button.

I installed the latest intel mainboard drivers for z97 chipsets.

my systems specs are as follows:

intel core i7 4790k
MSI Z97 Gaming 7
16 GiB G.Skill DDR3-2400
2x Geforce 770 GTX
Windows 8.1

I uploaded a debugfile from version 4.65.

Any insights on this? Smile

regards,

Dennis

When launching HWiNFO64 CPU fan speeds up to 1600RPM, from 800RPM.

Any fix?

Thanks

no option to minimize main window on startup

I am kind of annoyed by the fact that every time the latest version of hwinfo64 starts (as of now version 5.10) the main window start up alongside the sensors tab, which is what i use hwinfo for. There is no option to minimize, in options.
I did't have this problem on previous versions, like 5.06, because it had the option "minimize Main Window on Startup".

Laptop very slow / blue screen / ballistic fans

Hi there,

A friend of mine has a laptop that's really struggling to stay alive. I asked him to make a Report and a Debug file, so you guys (the online help-me-out community) could maybe discover what's causing his laggy laptop.

Problems are:
- After using the laptop for a couple of hours it will start to behave slower and slower, to the point that the laptop just freezes or gives a blue screen.
- When this happens, the fans will go mental.

He already performed a full format of his laptop, making no difference in behaviour.

Do you guys have any idea what could be the cause of these problems?

Thanks in advance,

Martin

Custom ""Sensor"" to display stuff like Date/Time

Shameless request, but is it possible that you can include a """Sensor""" that displays the current time in HH:MM:SS & Date as another separate Sensor formatted as DD.MM.YYYY (Or even custom format?) ?
if not then its fine Tongue But it seems so easy to do I felt like asking for it can't be that bad nor will it hurt.

PS: My intended use for that would be in RivaTuner... I could not find a properly working clock plugin or anything that also has the date. Of course if YOU do know one, tell me and this request can be ignored Tongue

HWINFO CPU Core Clock 1MHZ - Minimum Bug or?

Hey there, another point that I noticed,
what does this here mean:

Current Clock ist 4500MHZ, but sometimes it shows that the CPUs minimum clock on one/two cores is around 1MHZ or 1.8MHZ?

.jpg   1.jpg (Size: 163.86 KB / Downloads: 3)

or is this just a reading error of HWINFO that can occure?

I'm not getting any UAC errors, I have to open the program and click the fan to get the curve to apply.

I tried OpenFanCtrlMin=1 in the .ini file but did not help.

WHiNFO start problem

Hi

HWiNFO stops working during the checking of the sensors.
The last working version I found is the 5.06-2640. I tried using the latest beta release (5.11-2706) but also here HWiNFO cannot show sensor window.

My steps to reproduce the issue:
Start HWinOF on Windows 10 x64.
Select Sensors-only.
Wait for it and then it crashes.

Ideas? Thanks.

Hi,
i just wanted to try it with my new mainboard and i7 6600k.
The sensor data of the mainboard and cpu are fine.
The only thing that is missing is the fan control feature of the system fans Sad

I will include the report file and debug file.
