Hi,
I am new to HWinfo tool and I find it very useful for doing power analysis of applications I write.
I wanted to know if HWinfo supports command line automation so that I can write batch scripts to automate Logging.

Thanks
Anurag

Reading meaning HWinfo 4.44 Thankfull Author

Let me introduce my self: a father from Indonesia who use Z97 chipset (ITE IT8620E) and haswell procie and has weak english sorry about that.

Firstly I want to thank and congratulate to HWinfo author/creator. HWinfo is coolest and greatest monitoring software I've ever seen. At least for my system Z77 and Z97. I tried so many monitoring software and found that HWinfo is the most relevance with my BIOS, the most complete reading, the most reliable and awesome desktop gadget (it has back up and restore feature), with color bar which can warn your eyes! Perfect! What a small wispy software. Great job dude author, Impressive

Until now, I never really understand about what and where the reading is. All I know is everything would be fine when readings are fine.
Can anybody tell me for following reading meaning:
1. Temperature 1 is the system temp, its location is the entire of mobo right? Well I know that, but...
2. What is temperature 2? Where is exactly location of it?
3. What is temperature 3? Where is exactly location of it?
4. What is temperature 4? Where is exactly location of it?
5. What is temperature 5? Where is exactly location of it? It changes regularly between 45c and 46c
6. What is temperature 6? Where is exactly location of it? It has never changed, stuck on 46c

7. What is "Power IA Cores"? Where is it?

8. What is 3VSB voltage? What for and where?
9. What is VBAT voltage? What for and where? Is it battery? mine is desktop, why should be there battery
10. avcc3 VOLTAGE? what is it? where? Why is it the most unstable voltage? keep changing 1v up to 6.12v

Thanks for your answer
Sorry for my fools and long question. It could be meaningful info for other newbies or new HWinfo users in the world LOL

HWInfo source code

Hello,

I'm interested in some parts of the source code of hwinfo.
In my project (coding with vs15 , c#) it's necessary to get some SATA speed information (like r/w..) but everything which is provided by Microsoft doesn't work properly.
For example with the class below it's possible to receive a few data but not the ones I need (negotiated speed).

https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa394156(v=vs.85).aspx

CIMWin32 WMI Providers -> Win32_IDEControllerDevice

uint32 NegotiatedDataWidth;

uint64  NegotiatedSpeed;

It seems like HWInfo has access to these data when I use your program and my question is "How did u do that"? Big Grin
MS has a few different classes but not even one could show me the SATA speed.
Maybe you could help me with my issue. Thanks in advance!

Regards
Sven

The GPU usage percentage is not showing accurately when running two R9 380X in crossfire. The percentage is jumping around randomly on both GPUs. I know these cards are new so you might have to adjust the software.

Alienware 17 r3 fan question

Hello,

I have a new Alienware17 r3 and cannot seem to access the fan control from the sensors panel.  I can see a small icon which I assume is the fan, but left or right click does nothing.

Is the r3 not supported here yet or am I missing something else?

Thanks

Mike

Attached,

I put the image of the result of the temperatures of the CPU, only it is bringing several lines with CPU, which left me in doubt is: the motherboard trouce 2 cpu? because? Taking advantage if they can explain all lines regarding the temperature of the CPU.

thank you.

Expand isn't working

When I expand the window I get a second column, but the application isn't putting anything in it there. It's just an empty column and all the data remains in the first column. If I expand again the same thing happens. There is a third column, but it is empty!

I first noticed it in the last version I believe. I think I fixed it last time by reinstalling the application, but I'm not sure. Has anyone experienced this behavior? I'm using version 5.10-2700.

SMART false positive

My father has an old Asus G73JW laptop. I believe it's a first generation i7. I had him run HWiNFO because I wanted to make sure his fans were running. It's been overheating due to old TIM. He noticed that it said "failure" on one of his HDDs. I had him run CrystalDiskInfo to double check the SMART status. CDI didn't report any errors. Is it possible that HWiNFO is reporting a false positive?

HWiNFOMonitor 2.0 gadget "Always on Top" problem

Hi,

i am using HWInfo and and desktop gadget for about 4 years, the best app in the whole internet by the way.

I have a problem for a few weeks, some times desktop gadget comes to top of every window in the desktop, even if "always on top feature" is not checked. It usually comes to top when i open recycle bin, or explorer, when opening maxthon browser.

This becomes really annoying, is there a way disabling it?

HWiNFO Sluggish

Today I installed a new ASUS motherboard and HWiNFO detected this. It warned me that I could get slow readings by reading from the new EC? sensor it was detecting and I stupidly ignored that and enabled the option. Now I am unsure how to disable this option as it has caused my HWiNFO to act slow when updating sensor readings and just general navigation of the interface.

Missing VS2013 CRT Dll's

Stangowner,

We have updated the development environment for Rainmeter 3.3 r2493 (release candidate 1) to VS2015, and this is causing a bit of an issue with the HWiNFO plugin for Rainmeter.

The issue is that you are apparently dynamically linking to the VS2013 CRT runtime libraries, and we are no longer shipping any runtimes with Rainmeter. This is causing any user who does not have the VS2013 runtimes actually installed on their system to have to get it and install it from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download...x?id=40784 in order to use your plugin.

https://forum.rainmeter.net/viewtopic.ph...09#p118309

It would be much better if you statically linked to the CRT Dll's that you need, then separate installation would not be required on the user's computer.

https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/2kzt1wy3.aspx
You might want to use /MT for Release builds.

It wouldn't be enough to just start using VS2015 yourself, if you continue to dynamically link to the runtimes. We don't ship any runtimes at all with Rainmeter anymore, we statically link to what we need in the app and built-in plugins.

HWiNFO and the HWiNFO Rainmeter plugin are hugely popular with Rainmeter users, so I hope we can address this sometime soon. We plan on a "release" of Rainmeter 3.3 in about a week or so.
