Different RAM clocks in HWiNFO and CPU-Z after overclocking

$

I overclocked an old system with an Intel Core2Duo E8500. The FSB was changed from 333 MHz to 400 MHz. CPU-Z is still reporting 400 MHz for my RAM clocks. HWiNFO is showing 400 MHz x 1.5 = 600 MHz. Before change the FSB HWiNFO was showing the clocks as 333 MHz x 1.2 = 400 MHz. Which one is correct? Is the RAM really overclocked now?

PC hangs during shutdown and reboot after BIOS update

First of all, here's my specs:
MB: MSI B350 Tomahawk (BIOS version 7A34v1C)
CPU: Ryzen R5 1600X (@stock)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2x8GB (@2667MHz)
GPU: MSI GTX 980Ti V1 (@stock)
PSU: Corsair GS700 (700W)
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64Bit (latest updates)
If you need any other information, just ask.

The problem:
After updating my MB BIOS a few weeks ago (previous BIOS was 7A34v18), I started experiencing issues during shutdown and reboot. If I tried to do either of these things after my PC has been turned on for a while, it would just hang after Windows shutting down with the power on and fans spinning. No signal was being sent to either the monitor or being received from my M+KB (although RGB lights did work). Regardless of trying to shutdown or reboot it would have for a little over 5mins before completing the desired action, and after shutting down (not reboot) it would boot back up again 2secs later.
I've tried to diagnose the issue and testing different RAM speeds, memtest, prime95, different SATA-ports, different boot settings in the BIOS, resetting the CMOS, reflashing the BIOS (can't flash back to older versions), nothing worked.
However, removing the driver and removing HWiNFO from autostart has finally fixed the issue. There seems to be some problem with the new BIOS and HWiNFO that's causing some weird glitch during shutdown.
I'm sadly not sure exactly what version of HWiNFO I was using, since before trying to disable it I'd just replaced the EXE with the newest beta version, however I think it was 2-3 beta versions back.

HwInfo 5.72 Crashes on Scan, Asus ROG GL702ZC

$

Laptop is Asus ROG GL702ZC with Ryzen 7-1700 CPU and Radeon RX 580 GPU, running Win10 Home x64 Build 1709.  The motherboard uses the B350 chipset.  All drivers are newest available, and the system BIOS is version 303, the latest available as well.  I'll try to include as much detail as possible:

The laptop is a brand new purchase and I found right away that I could not launch HwInfo64 on this machine because it crashes during the system scan.  As a diagnostic measure, I tried disabling everything you can disable or skip scanning in HwInfo64's settings dialog, with no change in behavior.

I've seen functional HwInfo64 screenshots posted online from other owners of the same laptop, but I noticed their program versions were older than mine. My HwInfo64 EXE reports version 5.72.3333.0 but the newest version I've seen running in a screenshot is 5.70.  I don't have 5.70 available for test but I was able to dig up version 5.46 from a toolbox flash drive I'd created a year ago - and it runs.  It runs fine with no issues discovered so far.

I'm including my DBG file from the crashing version 5.72, as instructed.  The older version does work fine for now but I would prefer to run a current updated program if the issue can be resolved.
Thanks a lot guys!!

Asus Strix GTX 1080 Ti OC Ambient Temperature

Hello,
HWiNFO 5.73.3350

Being busy since I've got my Strix, playtime was cut to a minimum.
Today, I played for about 2 hours and noticed hwinfo showing GPU Ambient Temperature with a max of 87 deg. Celsius.
This is while CPU max was 65 and GPU 68 deg. Celsius.
Room temperature ~ 22 deg. Celsius

Isn't the reported temperature a bit high? Might be a faulty sensor? Or wrong reading on behalf of hwinfo?
I could not find such a sensor in Asus GPU Tweak It II.
GPU running at Gaming Mode using Asus GPU Tweak It II.
CPU at 4.7 Ghz.
The rest of the components like M.2 SSD, HDDs, report a max temperature of 32 deg. Celsius
Anyone else with the same model care to share their max values?

Block clock issues

I have a Asus P8Z77 Pro MB with 3570k, with default settings I noticed over a small period of time my block clock will show like 102mhz in max column.
This seems to happen after display goes to sleep (note this system has sleep disabled in power plan and hibernation disabled (C states enabled in bios still).

Now I did search around, and found if I uncheck periodic polling it is fine, but my understanding its not checking bus speed regularly.

Now compared to other app like CPU-Z, that has a known 99.9mhz showing for 100mhz bus, but it has no min/max saved values.
I also have Openhardware monitor and it seems that it doesn't poll the bus either (never seen anything other than 100, even if I OC to say 101 for test.

So my question, is this a known problem reading bus clock, that it reads wrong value, I have periodic polling unchecked which does seem to work but feels like a hack to me as it not monitoring bus speed.

BSOD if MSI Afterburner installed

Been tracking down difficult BSOD's...

Re-installed windows, and slowly installed programs.

Also been using driver verifier to figure out where the problem is.  For a week it's been solid as I installed new things, allowed it to burn in, etc...  Final tool I installed is Afterburner.

Turns out that I can run MSI Afterburner with nothing overclocked, and if driver verifier is running - I can easily crash my system when I fire up HWINFO64.

Driver verifier has blamed HWINFO64A.SYS on both BSOD's.

Is this a known incompatibility?

Please help me understand GPU terms.

Hello,

I own a Gigabyte GTX 1080 Windforce OC and I want to know if i have reasons to be worried about my GPU having the reports on the image.

What does the "Performance limits" means, specially the ones that are saying "Yes".

Also image with full reports after the game session ended.

Thanks.

especially as burns are so serious. That is why if you have experienced a get rid of you can announce for a injuries. Burn injuries generally happen in perlelux the workplace. These common injuries include of poorly wired electrics (businesses have a responsibility to have offices correctly wired), workplace fires (need obvious 'hazard' signs), hot machinery (that should also come with a warning), radiation, handling of hot liquids and objects, inhalation of risky fumes (need protective headwear and clothing to prevent this). There are also three primary types of burn: Superficial burns are red but only hit the themes surface. Partial thickness burns go in further and are more damaging to your epidermis. These will dry red and gradually go blotchy. Full thickness burns occur when all epidermis stages are burned. This involved area will turn a different colour. It is best, if these burns have occurred though the fault of someone else or which could have been prevented if appropriate safety procedures had been introduced, to consult a random injuries attorney who specialises in injuries as a result of negligence or get rid of injuries in general. Accidental harm attorneys require that you offer proof the destruction such as medical care reports and x-rays and pictures of the get rid of as well as proof the other party was responsible. The law organization will try their best to get your condition they court and win compensation for you, especially if it has affected your daily way of life. They can certainly make sure that organization or personal responsible was wrong under law and that activated your injuries. Burn circumstances tend to be 'no win, no fee'. So if you win the random injuries announce you will receive compensation for injuries experienced, future treatment you may need in the future, deficiency of earnings or deficiency of job, hospital bills as well as emotional trauma and family proper care. All this depends on the severity of the get rid of harm. Employers are obliged by law to make sure protected working conditions and it is this essential element your random injuries attorney can emphasise to win the problem. Also common, is what is known as an 'internal burn'. These are through airways and lungs and signs include of sore throat, burnt tongues as a result of consuming hot foods, wheezing, inhaling soot or fumes. Again you can file an harm announce if these are the result of negligence. The

(AW13 R3) HWinfo fan control loses Fan 3 CustomAuto settings

I'm attempting to use HWinfo64 with an Alenware 13 R3.

When the profiles are setup the fan's work as expected, it picks the laptops fans up as Fan1 and Fan3.  The problem I'm having is sometimes when I close the application (or reboot my laptop) the config for Fan 3 is lost and needs to be setup again.

I've also experienced a weird issue where all the values get filled in with extremely large numbers and I need to manually reset the values in order to get it working again. This only seems to happen for Fan3, Fan1 maintains it's configuration.
