Log file location?

When I first logged some data a week or two ago it seemed to store the log on my desktop.

I deleted that file, but now when trying to log, it's not showing up there.

Where should I be looking for the log?

HWiNFO Crashes at Detecting Video Adapters

I have been using HWiNFO on a system with 3 XFX RX580 8GB  OC and  SOC editions and it has worked flawlessly. I hooked up an additional card, this time a MSI Armor RX 580 8GB, and now, when starting HWiNFO it "stops working" at the detecting video adapters step. If I unplug the MSI card it works fine. I did not reinstall drivers after adding the card as I have not for each additional XFX card I have plugged in and there were not any issues. The MSI card is detected by all other programs, GPU-Z, Afterburner etc. Should I reinstall all the drivers? Any Suggestions?

PCI Express version 1.0A and 1.1

Hi. I am a new commer for  the PCIe systems. 
I attached a PCIe board installed a PCI bridge PEX8112-AA to my Windows 7 PC. 
Although I believe PEX8112-AA is a PCI Express version 1.0A, HWiNFO shows it is version 1.1 .
How come?? 
I wonder that HWiNFO show the PCIe Express version 1.0A as version 1.1 ???

HWiNFO 64 crashes on short text report

It happens after I click on the button "Save Report" and choose the Short Text Report export format in the Create Logfile window. The HWiNFO64 Short Report window is not shown. The applications stops responding and windows 10 x64 shows the following error message: "HWiNFO64 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and try to notify you if a solution is available."
 
If I run HWiNFO 64 and try to save the HTML export format instead, it works.

Why is Current Capacity Higher than Full Charged Capacity?

I'm confused about something I'm seeing on many laptops. The Current Capacity, when the laptop is 100% charged, is higher than the "Full Charged Capacity" but is on par with the Designed Capacity. 

So, on my Latitude 7270:

Designed Capacity: 54994 mWh
Full Charged Capacity: 52250 mWh
Wear Level: 5%
Current Capacity: 54994

So, if my laptop is only capable of reaching 52250 mWh, why is it currently at 54,994? This isn't the only laptop where I've noticed this issue.

Missing +12 and +5 voltages for ASRock H110M-DGS

Is it a bug if I'm not seeing the +12V, +5V voltages for my ASRock mobo model H110M-DGS?
According to the manual monitoring should be possible.

Maybe I have to update the BIOS?

Alienware 18 cant change GPU Fan speed

I have a Alienware 18, have installed HWiNFO64 but cant seem to change the fan speed for the GPU fan. The fan works as it spins up for a few seconds when you boot the laptop but will not come on in window even when it hits 100c.

Have updated to latest Bios
Running windows 8.1

I have read a few threads from a wile back but still unsure if this can be done on the Alienware 18

Any help would be great and thank you for a great piece of software as I used it on my previous machine

Hard Disk activity - wrong disk

Windows 10 64bit

For some time now I have observed this behavior, so I would say it is not related only to the latest version.


My setup

1 x Samsung EVO 960 500GB M.2 nvme SSD. Drive C: (Only Windows on it)
1 x Samsung EVO 950 250GB SATA SSD. Not partitioned. Not used.
3 x Seagate ST4000VN0001-1SF178 Enterprise NAS 4 TB SATA Disk in one Windows striped volume. Drive D:


The problem

I barely write anything on Samsung EVO 960 500GB M.2 nvme SSD
Mostly I write/read on 3 x Seagate ST4000VN0001-1SF178
When I transfer anything to 3 x Seagate ST4000VN0001-1SF178, hwinfo reports disk activity on Samsung EVO 960 500GB M.2 nvme SSD, while one of the 3 Seagate disks are reported with no activity.
Monitoring the temperature and space on Samsung EVO 960 500GB M.2 nvme SSD I am sure the activity on it is wrongfully reported and instead, the activity belongs to the Seagate drive sitting idle in hwinfo screen.

SSD/HDD power-on hours

I've recently used CrystalDiskInfo to check the health of my hard drives, and I noticed some information showing Power On Count and Power On Hours.

Is there a setting (apart from the default settings) in HWI's settings dialog box that I can activate to show this info?

I understand that in HWI there is already SMART warning before the drive ultimately fails, but in my case seeing a drive that is quite old gives me a heads-up before I even get a SMART warning. Also one never knows how long before the drive ultimately fails after I receive a SMART warning.

NZXT Kraken X62 - Failed readings under load

hwinfo64 5.73.3345
Windows 10 64bit 1607
NZXT Kraken X62 AIO on Asus Maximus X HERO (i7 8700K)

While doing stress tests and only while doing stress tests, using OCCT or Asus Realbench, after a short time hwinfo will report random pump speed 0 and minimum temperature 0.
NZXT Cam software does not show the pump speed drop.
Asus AI Suite does not show the pump speed drop.
CPU temperature is normal.
Closing hwinfo and opening it again does not fix this behavior.
Only restarting the computer clears the error.

crucial ddr4 16gb 2400 16-16-16-39(right now at default settings)

HWinfo64 doesn't start

My HWinfo64 (version 5.73.3345) isn't working anymore. Does anybody know why? I have attached a debug file and hope it helps to solve he problem. I'm a huge fan of this software!

HWiNFO not opening

Hello,

I recently found out about your software and wanted to give it a try, however for what ever reason I cannot get it to launch on my PC, I have tried using the stable and the beta x64 releases.

What I have so far is that after I try to launch it, it will appear in the task manager but nothing else happens. I tried to look through the forums to see if anyone else had the same issue. For most people it seemed that all they had to do was check for the taskbar icon, but unfortunately, I do not have it down there, even under the hidden items area.

Any help trying to move forward would be greatly appreciated.
