HWiNFO doesn't show Kraken after CAM uninstalled

Hey,

I have another PC that I tested CAM on, and it was still just as bad as it was when I tested on my main PC, so I uninstalled it and did a system restore to before it was installed. Everything worked fine, and now HWiNFO displays the pump speed/liquid temps as it did before. (I know if you have the software open it won't show).

However, on my main PC, a few months ago I did the same thing... except now, it doesn't show the pump or liquid temp at all. It does show the label "NZXT Kraken x52/x62" but there's nothing under it. The only difference is that on my main PC, I updated the firmware, whereas on my other PC, I didn't. Did the firmware update block HWiNFO from accessing the data? If not, how can I bring it back? I'm guessing there's no way to reset the firmware on this device, so I'm hoping that's not the case.

Thanks!

Using HWinfo64-what CPU temp do I go by?

Hi I use HWinfo64 temp monitor (really like it)
and it gives two CPU readings
one is amd 10h+ cpu thermal sensor
the other is ITE IT8712F

now the 10H+ is generally 5c less than the ITE sensor
from Googling
the 10H+ is the core temp while the ITE is package temp measured at socket
as far as OCing temps go by
I know that 60C is really the max you want your peak load to be
right now my PHII x 4 925 @3.5ghz is reading after an hour with Prime95-64bit in 68F room (20C?)
55-57C on the ITE
so the 10H would be about 50-52C

which temp should I go by?

everywhere you read about OCing the PHII Deneb says
you should really be under 55C for max load temp.

I need a serious AMD expert here

What temp sensor is the most accuracy one?

ASUS ROG STRIX X470-F Fan Header Readings

This has been happening for quite sometime now but I just decide to ignore it. It's not really a big deal but kind of annoying. So I have 3 intake fans that only spin when the CPU hits 60C+ and for some reason HWiNFO readings for 1 second bug out to absurd numbers as you can see from the screenshot that causes the maximum value go out of control when these 3 intake fans are rated for 1200 RPM.

Q6600/DQ965GF Incorrect CPU Die Temp

Hi

New here; please be kind! Did a search and found nothing, so here we go ...

Just installed 3.88-1400 on a Win 2008 Standard server 64-bit.

M/B: Intel DQ965GF
CPU: Intel Q6600 Quad core

Core temps read 42,38,35,37 degrees
CPU Die (Intel QST) reads 135 degrees... (meltdown time?)

With a much older version of HWInfo32, the CPU Die read around -35 degrees (yes, minus)

I think I read somewhere that this MB/CPU combo reports the overhead and not the actual temp, hence the minus. Just wonder if the latest version subtracts the temp reading from the max to generate the CPU Die temp?

In any event, seems there is an error here!

Thanks in advance, and thanks for an excellent product!

Doubt about remote connection

Hello everyone, I am John. I am new to this forum, so I apologize for some things. I'm sorry for my English, but I'm Brazilian, so I can not speak very well and, per second, I have no idea if this topic is in the right place (if any administrator can change). Oks, let's ask the question ... Angel

I have a computer in my room and I only use it as a server, and I do not have a screen, but I need to monitor the temperature. Soon, I need any application can be used to monitor the computer remotely using an Android phone set in Hwinfo. Of course I can use another computer, but it would be more comfortable to use my phone.

Well, thank you for the personal attention!

HWiNFO64 crashes when choosing sensors screen

Hi Martin, thanks for very handy piece of software!

Weird thing, never had any problems with HWiNFO64 before.  Today, I realized HWiNFO was not in tray as it usually sits there for me.  And whenever I spin the sensors screen it just crashes.

I tried to reinstall, and it worked for one time. Sensors showed up.  But then gone again.

Didn't do any major hardware and software upgrades, frankly speaking nothing literary changed.

Attaching debug file.

Ivan.

HWiNFO stops PSU fan

The issue is that when I open HWiNFO sensors, PSU fan (RM750i) is stopped to 0 RPM. I can disable CorsairLink support in settings to prevent that from happening, but that would prevent from being able to monitor PSU power usage when gaming through OSD.
Corsair Link is not installed, I use SIV64 (http://rh-software.com/) to enable fixed fan speed, the issue persists even if SIV64 is not running, the only way for the fan to work is to start SIV64 after HWiNFO has been started. I realize there are issues with the protocol used to communicate with the PSU, but the thing is, I've tried two other monitoring software, AIDA64 and HWmonitor, which are capable of monitoring corsair PSU, and these have no issues, when you open their sensors, the fan is still running. So I think if AIDA64 and HWmonitor can get PSU stats without stopping the fan, then there is something HWiNFO does that makes the fan to stop.
When fan is stopped by HWiNFO, SIV64 shows PSU fan control mode to "PSU Default", so what seems to be happening is that when HWiNFO is reading PSU stats, fan control settings previously saved are erased and fan control reverts to stock Default settings, which involves semifanless operation (0 RPM) when you are below certain load and temperature.

GPU memory errors

Hi, is this bugged? is it possible to have billions of memory errors and not notice any artifacting or any weird stuff? after playing a game (GTA V) itll get up to 500 billion errors on each gpu, yet I dont see anything wrong graphically...

A couple of things i should mention

1. when i start the program, it goes straight to 8 billion on gpu 0.

2. it always jumps by 8 billion whenever the ram clock goes up

Edit: just realized this probably shouldve went in the "general discussion" section... sorry about that

A problem with font settings

Hello,

I'm using HWiNFO64 v5.86. Everything works fine, but I have a problem with font setting. When I click CONFIG -> CHANGE FONT and try to change the SCRIPT value, it always resets back to Western. I can choose another font or font size, it works. The problem is with the SCRIPT setting.

I'm trying to change the script (encoding?) setting as the celcius sign does not display properly on the sensors page.

I'm using Windows 10 Home 64-bit, English language. The locale settings are all Turkish.

Many thanks for the great app! Regards, Levent

ASRock Motherboard CPU Sensor - Hardware defect, or bug?

$

hi

recently i build myself a new system.
amd 2600x
asrock x470 fatality gaming k4

i think i have a faulty CPU sensor on the motherboard.
The CPU sensor in the motherboard tab only showed when very hot. then i found out i can enable sub zero temp readings in HWInfo. with that enabled the sensor shows up every time i start HWInfo.
but the reading is -62c. when it gets hot it seems to climb to 60-65c. when it cools it jumps from 39c to -62c every time. it can not show idle temp and takes quite a while to rise.
As a result when the motherboard fan controller is on default, its set to monitor "CPU Temp" and therefore is not working correctly. luckily it has a setting monitor Tctrl on the cpu itself.

also i can set the debug numbers to show temperature. they are stuck on "33" (when hwinfo reports -62c) but as soon as temps in hwinfo are in the positive it seems to show the same.

i have a complete log, and enabled hwinfo debug earlier today. can i upload this here?

i also contacted asrock support and forum

thank you

Reported PCH temps

My PCH, like many others, is "cooking" and I have used various heatsinks etc over it to no avail.

Finally I have measured it with two electronic and one IR thermometer, and its temperature was for example 71C-72C but HWinfo reported 94C+. This is a significant difference between measured temps and reported temps.

Either the PCH is broken or Hwinfo is getting it wrong. Is there anyone else out there that can verify what's happening?

Queries relating to temperature sensors

Looking at the sensor page under the header CPU [#0]: AMD A8-5600K: Enhanced, there is CPU (Tctl) and CPU package (TSI). I assume that to monitor the CPU temp in Rainmeter then CPU Package (TSI) is the one to use. (Tctl) appears to be switching between greyed out and a normal display but all the time displaying low figures. I understand that displaying the AMD CPU temperatures is not straightforward but what is this telling me please?

Under the ASUS F2A85-M (ITE IT8603E) header, there is CPU and Motherboard temperature display. As the CPU temperature is totally different and much lower to that of the setting displayed in CPU [#0]: AMD A8-5600K: Enhanced, I would like to know what this reading relates to and what it is telling me. Also the Motherboard temperature here is always a few degrees higher than the CPU temperature.

There appears to be a temperature sensor on the lower side of the fan of the AMD stock fan and heat sink and I assume this is monitoring the temperature of the air being supplied to the CPU heat sink. Do you know what sensor this relates to as far as HWiNFO is concerned and also if it is not the one that controls the CHA extractor fan what is its function and which sensor and display is it? All the temperatures are changing along with the rpm of the fans. I have changed the fan controls in the BIOS to manually configure the profiles to obtain better temperature control of the CPU but according to HWiNFO the CPU is still reaching 80 – 85 degrees C on a regular basis, sometimes leading to a power reset.
