Fan Control Respin

Hi, I sincerely hope that this hasn't been covered in another thread. I've found some threads that touch it but not the exact issue.

I rely on this program for fan control in my dell precision m6700. Without, it would be impossible to use a lot of "unsupported" gpus throughout the dell precision laptop line, so im very grateful.

The only issue is that hwinfo seems to have to constantly battle the system for fan control, the set manual only works for a second and is unusable. The custom auto works well, but the respin has to be set as low as possible in order not to hear an annoying, pulsing of the fans. Even though 100 ms is supposedly the lowest, it actually works better with the respin set to 0. There's just the warning message that keeps popping up, whenever the fan changes speeds.

Given that the 0 ms respin is actually effective, and makes the fans run noticeably steadier, is it possible to disable the warning message that says "enter an integer between 100 and 5000"?

thanks in advance for any information

Lately, HWInfo64 keeps freezing and crashing.

Settings:
I use default settings with "Use PHET" being disabled since it has been suggested in a different forum. I also disabled some sensors which I don't need. Additionally, I enabled tray        symbols for CPU Package Temp, GPU Core Temp and Chassis Temp as measured by my mainboard (Screenshot 57).

Issue:
Very often, the tray symbols disappear, leaving blank space behind (Screenshot 58). When I hover over these, they disappear too. The HWInfo-tray Icon remains visible until I hover    over it and it disappears. They won't come back until I start HWInfo64 again.

My system:
  Intel i7 6700k @4.60 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980Ti MSI OC Edition @1400.00 MHz
  Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2x8 GB @3600 MHz
  MSI Z170A Gaming M3

  (Issue existed before OC)
I ran "Driver Booster 5" (IObit) to ensure that I use the latest drivers.

"GPU Memory Usage" shows incorrect value

Hello,

.png   gpu.png (Size: 41.56 KB / Downloads: 5)

This sensor seems to report an unrealistically high value. When I play games it can go up to 15 GB, while my card only has 4 GB. Windows task manager has a similar "GPU memory" option but that seems to report the correct values (even though it says X/12 GB, the X seems to show the actual usage)

Is there a way to link 3 machines in series.
I mean, pc1 as server to pc2 and then pc2 as server with pc1 and pc2 info to pc3?

Pc1 has one NIC, pc2 has 2 NICs one to pc1 and the other to pc3. And I can't bridge pc2 NICs

Hope I made myself clear.
Thanks

Hello,

the sensors on the new Gigabyte X470 Aorus Gaming 7 WIFI are messed up Wink Here is a screenshot of HWiNFO and the Gigabyte tool in direct comparison.

I would be happy to see those sensors corrected in the next release. Need anything more? I attached a report file.

Was having some issues with the gadget (Win7) and tried to uninstall the hardware monitor and then reinstall. System tells me it cannot install the driver, and to check rights and possible antivirus filters. My user should have administrator rights. Thoughts?   Huh

Help on how to read HWinfo and finding wattage

$

I am perplexed at the stats that HWinfo is showing me, compared to what my Kill a Watt meter is displaying. Here's my specs for reference.
i5-3570k at 4.2GHz, 2 OC'd RX 580 at 0.9V 75% power limit, 1 OC'd 980 Ti at 90% power limit, 2x4GB DDR3 RAM, 1 7200 RPM HDD, and an Antec Kuhler 620 powered from a Corsair HX1200.
First, it shows multiple numbers for the wattage of my CPU/GPUs, do you add these numbers to find the wattage? Second, why is HWinfo showing ridiculous numbers like 70A from one 0.9V 75% power limited RX 580?
My entire rig with my 580's dual mining Eth/Lbry, and my 980 Ti mining Zcash pulls 630W according to the Kill a Watt, when I mine XMR using my CPU it only goes up to 650W, does this seem right or is the Kill a Watt underestimating my actual usage?

Hi!

I have Acer Predator 15 G9-593 (https://www.notebookcheck.net/Acer-Preda...314.0.html) and I've just installed Hwinfo64. I was looking at the settings and I've noticed that under the tab "Smbus/I2C, I don't have 0x69 adress excluded (https://imgur.com/a/rLWYJ8Q). On screenshots of the software on the internet I've noticed that everyone has this adressed checked. Is my HWInfo64 bugged? Why is this adress not checked on my laptop?
Thanks in advance.

Complete freeze of the pc with hwinfo64

Hi everyone!

Recently the program started to freeze the pc about 5 minutes after boot. All seems fine until program after program start to freeze, then the mouse freeze too and the only way to make it work again is to hard reset and uninstall the program. While freezing I can't even open the task manager to see what's happening. Without it all is fine. I tried to deactivate hpet mode, reset all settings and data of the program without success. The live and the beta give the same problem.

This happened after the recent windows patch and I also updated MB's bios, chipset and video drivers. My pc configuration:

cpu rayzen 1500x
ram corsair vengeance 2x8 Gb @3200
MB msi b350m mortar with bios 7A37v1E (2018-03-19), AMD Chipset 18.10.0418 (4/19/2018)
windows 10 64 newest patch

I atteched the debug report obtained. Thanks for help in advance.

p.s. the program is awesome
