Hi!

I'm trying to setup the Rainmeter plugin, and the instructions use something called the "Shared Memory Viewer".  I'm having a hard time locating it.  Can someone tell me where I could find it?

Thanks!

HWiNFOMonitor and Windows 10

First off, GREAT TOOL!

I used this a lot with Win 7x64, but I just upgraded to Win10 and currently running HWiNFO 5.02.2575 and Monitor 2.0.  I had to use 8GadgetPack to get the monitor to launch, and when I did I noticed that I could not edit any of the settings in Monitor.  HWiNFO seems to be working like a charm, but I could not disable any sensors or change any display preferences in the gadget.  This of course leads to massive info overflow and me closing the gadget.  All I want to see is CPU Load, CPU temp, MB temp, GPU temp, GPU Fan, GPU load, and (Graph) Network current Up / Down.

Any tips, or info on how to fix this would be great!

Vcore question

I have a question regarding the vcore reading in hwinfo.  Both cpuz and hwmonitor show the same values for vcore, but hwinfo says the vcore is much higher.  Here is a screen shot showing the difference between cpuz and hwinfo.  I would also like to know what vsen2 is.  That value seems to be the closest to the vcore value from the other software, and seems to fluctuate consistently with the vcore values of the other software.  This is my first time overclocking so any help with this is appreciated.

PCI Bus and Drive scan issue

I have noticed that when I run HWiNFO64 v5.02-2575 during the scanning of hardware, the PCI Bus scan and Drive Scan both take a longer than usual time.  The drives attached to my motherboard now shows SMART temperature and health values in the Sensor window, while HWiNFO64 v4.64-2530 didn't show any SMART values for those drives.  I have also noticed the program slows my system down, especially when trying to do anything related to reading or writing files to the attached hard drives.  At this time HWiNFO64 v4.64-2530 is the version I am using, since it doesn't cause any noticeable system issues.  I have attached the HWiNFO64 Report and Debug file along with a screenshot which shows the Summary and Sensor windows.

Please Help! how do i enable core temperature sensor

Hello

I have an m14x . i downloaded and ran HWinFO and was going to use it to set a custom auto fan speed. im not super computer savey but enough to get myself in trouble. first thing it said was something about the fan sensor that was there was not necessarily reliable and it could cause stability problems so i clicked to inactivate it. but appearently i should not have done that. now when i try to set "custom auto" fan control and select my cpu or gpu it says "the selected sensor/temperature reading is disabled! make sure to enable it in Sensors before using it for Fan Control"  .   i have been trying to figure out how to re-enable it but can. can someone please help?

thanks.

IDE/(S)ATA drive scan (BSOD)

With the new version of hwinfo (5.0 now at 5.02-2575) windows crashes (windows 8 and windows 10).

When I press run the you get examining system configuration but at detecting IDE/SCSI windows crashes. I thought one of my drives was the problem so I disconnected them all except my samsung ssd (startup drive with windows) . I again started hwinfo and it starts but after that all my programs lose connection with the Samsung drive and 20 seconds later windows crashes.

Last test was change the settings in the safety tab for ide/(s)ata drive  scan. I changed it from Safe mode in Low-level IO access. Now everything works and no problems.

Is this normal or a error in this version of hwinfo.

PS: intel rapid storage is not installed (removed it for the test)

More info.

Did a other test. I selected debug mode and changed drive scan back to safe mode (see attached dbg file).  Now hwinfo works but when I test it again without debug mode same problems.

Voltage reading.. new PSU or no?

ok long story short.. some specs. Been having these random crashes so to speak. All of a sudden and my PC hooked to my TV will just go to "no signal" and no way to get it back unless a hard reset. I believe the PC is still is in the same state so might not be a crash. I reseated video card and memory - uninstalled driver - removed video card and used a VGA cable to on board video and sometimes it will work for an hour and bam no signal. I ran sfc /scannow and ran a scheduled scan disk which took an 3 hours but no loss of signal.

My PSU is a few years old and always ran many games and do these readings look wayyy off in screenshot? I have no BIOS voltage settings in BIOS b/c its an HP PC I built the rest.

Thank you hope I provided enough info. LMK

Fan speed

Hello,

I just installed HWiNFO and I just like it ! Great job  Big Grin
My question is, is there a way to control fan's RPM ? When set to system auto, the system can choose the value it wants ( 0..2100..2600..3100..3900..5100) but when I want to choose a speed I'm obliged to choose between 0, 2600 and 5100 RPM.

Thanks

Some values misreported with ASUS X99 Sabertooth

Hello, I recently installed the X99 Sabertooth and have noticed some things are a little off. For one, the CPU package power only goes from around 0.4W to 3.6W under full load, when in fact my 5820k has a TDP of 150W. Also, many of the fans are not reported, there's 11 headers on the board and only 3 show up. Same with temp sensors, only 1 shows up. All of these show up fine in the AIsuite package from ASUS, but I'd like to be able to see them in HWiNFO!

Thanks for the help!

Windows 10 Crash

Hi all,

I recently made the switch from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I had been using Rainmeter with another plugin (Open Hardware Monitor) to monitor various measures from my machine. I made the switch to the HWiNFO plugin as my previous plugin no longer worked with Windows 10.

My issue is that every morning when I go to wake my computer it is complete frozen and I have to do a hard reset. I tracked the issue down to either HWiNFO or it's corresponding Rainmeter plugin (when I disable HWiNFO and any skins that use it I don't have the issue). Has anyone else encountered this problem and found a solution? Please let me know if there's any info I can provide to help troubleshoot.

Thanks in advance.

Getting incorrect readings for CPU Load/GPU Memory

Hi all, wonder if anybody can help me. I've just upgraded to Win 10 and started using HWiNFO to replace OHM for getting the data used in my skin, however I'm running into some issues with getting incorrect readings returned.

For my CPU Load, I'm using this code;
Code:
Measure=Plugin
Plugin=Plugins\HWiNFO.dll
HWiNFOSensorID=0xf0000300
HWiNFOSensorInstance=0x0
HWiNFOEntryId=0x7000009
HWiNFOType=CurrentValue
This is the sensor in shared memory viewer
http://i.imgur.com/irvTOaX.jpg

According to HWiNFO, this is the current readings for that sensor
http://i.imgur.com/EKk2ezD.jpg

And yet Rainmeter is outputting this data
http://i.imgur.com/8ga0K67.jpg

It keeps spiking right up to 100%, even though HWiNFO itself tells me it hasn't even gone above 44.2%
I'm getting the same issue for my GPU memory usage, which according to my skin is currently sitting between 95-100% but HWiNFO is telling me it hasn't exceeded 16%

In case it helps, my CPU is an i7-2600K and my GPU is a GTX 970, as I said I'm running Windows 10 and using the 64bit version of Rainmeter and the plugin.

MSI GTX 980 2nd fan not detected

Hello,

First of all I would like to congratulate you on the product that you are making. The data it reports is everything a monitoring system would have to offer and even more Smile

What I'm experiencing is the fact that it shows only the fan RPM and % for the first fan of my MSI 980 GTX GPU, which can control each fan individually. To clarify, no other monitoring software, besides the MSI Fan Control utility can report the 2nd fan's speed, but since this is the only full monitoring system that I have found, I guessed it was worth to ask if it can somehow be included in the sensor data.

Per your request, I'm attaching the debug and report files if they would be of any help to you.

P.S. The debug file is in a zip, as it exceeded the 1mb upload file size.

Potential Bug in v5.03-2595 Beta

Hi Martin,

I tried the new Beta version of HWiNFO64, v5.03-2595, which includes Enhanced sensor monitoring on ASRock X99 and Z170 series.

I ran it with my ASRock X99 Extreme6/3.1 board, and I noticed the VCore reading that was fine on the previous Beta version was now an impossible value, over 2V at times.

I found that the sensor item that was VCore in the previous Beta (VIN14), now has an Original name of 3VSB. The new Beta now has two 3VSB items/readings with this ASRock X99 board.

I'm attaching a debug file and Report file. I have some sensor reading edited out of the display, so let me know if you need a debug file with all the readings in it.

Thanks for your attention, I depend on the HWiNFO64 VCore reading, since everything else displays the VIDs. No pressure Martin... Wink

First I like to thank for the people making this nice program to make my life a lot easier to monitor all the pc components.

I do have a question about the program, screen shot also uploaded to make it simple, I have a his radeon 5870 and not sure if it displays the info correctly, it shows the vrm voltage and not the amperage? Am I get the correct info or do I miss something. If there is anyway I could add amperage for the vrm please do let me know. thanks in advance for any helps.

HWiNFO64 Plugin for Rainmeter Ideas

[attachment=1476]
I have been working on getting some skins to work with this plugin and was having some well continuing difficulty in having the skin read sensor values. It seemed that for a time they would work and then the next day they would not.

I had always thought that the HWiNFO.inc file that resided in the HWinfo skin would then work for all other skins. Once I had configured the sensor ID's. Though I have found this is not the case. Each skin uses the HWiNFO.inc file that resides in its own @resources folder.

While using the varialbles @Include=#@#\HWiNFO.inc  doesn't seem to make a given skin go to the HWiNFO skin that has the first HWiNFO.inc file.

So to get my skins to work consistently I used the Variables  @IncludeSensors = #@#\HWiNFO.inc. While configuring the file that resides in the current @resources folder of the given skin.

thanks.. Douglas
